Clean Earth, Inc. Announces Acquisition of Soil Remediation, Inc., in Kingsland, Georgia
Clean Earth, Inc. announced today the acquisition of privately owned Soil Remediation, Inc. (SRI), located in Kingsland, Georgia. This acquisition will mark Clean Earth's ninth soil treatment and recycling location in the United States. Now with two facilities in the southeastern part of the United States, (Moore Haven, Florida and Kingsland, Georgia) this acquisition will provide Clean Earth the opportunity to geographically expand soil recycling and disposal services in both the Florida and Georgia remediation markets. SRI, now known as Clean Earth of Georgia, is a thermal treatment facility processing non-hazardous petroleum-contaminated soils. Within a 100-mile radius, Clean Earth of Georgia can easily service remediation projects from Savannah, GA, to Gainesville, FL.
Chris Dods, President & CEO states, "Joining our talent, experience, and geography will provide great synergies and superior service to the South Georgia Northern Florida market and continue to solidify the Clean Earth position as the leading impacted soil recycler. Our team is excited about our growth in new markets."
In 2011, Clean Earth recycled approximately 3 million tons of soil derived from various construction sites throughout the northeast. These recycled soil volumes are expected to increase in 2012 with the acquisition of SRI, and the success of Clean Earth of Southern Florida in Moore Haven, Florida.
In addition to Clean Earth of Georgia, Clean Earth owns and operates ten (10) additional facilities throughout the northeast. Treatment platforms at these locations consist of bioremediation, chemical fixation of RCRA hazardous waste, thermal desorption, aggregate production, drill cuttings and pipeline cuttings, and stabilization of dredged material.
