EQ - The Environmental Quality Co. (Wayne, MI) announced its purchase of a hazardous waste management facility in Tulsa, OK from A Clean Environment, Inc. The facility which has 12 employees and will henceforth be called EQ Oklahoma, Inc., is a RCRA permitted hazardous waste treatment, storage and disposal facility that can accept and manage nearly all waste types and waste codes in drum and bulk containers. "The addition of the Tulsa, Oklahoma facility into EQ's extensive facilities and services network enhances our western U.S. presence," stated David Lusk, President and CEO of EQ. EQ now owns 24 service locations in North America. This is EQ's second acquisition in 2010. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

EQ Announces Purchase of Hazardous Waste Facility in Tulsa, Oklahoma
Addition of Facility Enhances EQ's Western U.S. Presence
Wayne, Mich. - EQ - The Environmental Quality Company today announced that the company has purchased a hazardous waste management facility from A Clean Environment, Inc. located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The facility will be known as EQ Oklahoma, Inc. It is a RCRA permitted hazardous waste treatment, storage and disposal facility that can accept and manage nearly all waste types and waste codes in drum and bulk containers.
"The addition of the Tulsa, Oklahoma facility into EQ's extensive facilities and services network enhances our western U.S. presence," stated David Lusk, President and CEO of EQ. "We currently conduct business across the United States, Canada and Mexico. EQ Oklahoma brings us strategically closer to our western customers with new waste treatment and recycling capacity and capability." EQ now includes 24 service locations in North America. This is EQ's second acquisition in 2010.
The facility consists of treatment operations for both hazardous and non-hazardous wastewaters and solids. Wastes accepted include spent acids and caustics, chemical process wash water, off-specification or discarded chemicals, rinse waters, degreasers, coolants and other processing waste suitable for on-site treatment. Other services include transportation, emergency response and industrial cleaning.
Terms of the transaction are not disclosed.
