Veolia ES Solid Waste Acquires Indiana Waste Systems

Veolia ES Solid Waste (Milwaukee, WI) has bought Indiana Waste Systems (Monticello, IN), in an effort to expand the company's presence in western and northern Indiana. The acquired operations include a transfer station, roll-off trucks and containers and will contribute about 16,000 tons of additional annual volume. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. "The acquisition of these assets is consistent with our strategy of entering new marketplaces through the acquisition of fully-integrated operations," said Jim Long, President and CEO of Veolia ES Solid Waste. "In addition, Jeff Van Weelden, owner and operator of IWS, will join our team. Veolia ES Solid Waste, Inc. Announces Acquisition of Hauling Company In Indiana

Veolia ES Solid Waste, Inc. today announced it has acquired substantially all the business assets of Indiana Waste Systems (IWS). IWS is based in Montecello, Ind. The acquisition will establish a hauling presence for Veolia ES Solid Waste in western and northern Indiana and will add additional volume of 16,000 tons annually.

The IWS assets consist of seven rearloaders, four roll-off trucks, 820 containers, 80 rolloff boxes and a transfer station. The waste collected will be internalized at the Veolia ES Hoosier Landfill in Claypool, Ind.
