Advanced Disposal Buys Trash Taxi's Florida Operations

Advanced Disposal Services (Jacksonville, FL) said it bought the Florida assets of Trash Prince Inc., which does business as Trash Taxi and provides waste collection services to residents and businesses in Fort Meade, FL, and throughout Polk, Pasco and Orange counties. The purchase includes customer contracts, containers and nine Trash Taxi trucks as well as a long-term lease on an office and a maintenance facility in Winter Haven, FL. Advanced Disposal Acquires Trash Taxi and Expands Its Central Florida Footprint

Advanced Disposal Services, Inc., a regional integrated environmental services company, has completed the acquisition of the Florida assets of Trash Prince, Inc. d/b/a Trash Taxi. This acquisition in Polk County expands the Florida-headquartered company's footprint in the Central Florida marketplace.

Trash Taxi provides solid waste collection services to the residents and businesses of the City of Ft. Meade and other residential subscription customers as well as hundreds of commercial frontload and roll-off customers throughout Polk, Pasco and Orange Counties. The asset purchase included the customer contracts, containers, and nine trucks of Trash Taxi as well as a long-term lease of the office and maintenance facility located at 298 American Spirit Road, Winter Haven, Florida. Advanced Disposal will strengthen the well-know quality service reputation of Trash Taxi with additional financial capital, safety and training resources, and a commitment to a cleaner, greener community.

Additionally, Advanced Disposal was one of only three companies who submitted a proposal on March 10, 2010, to service Polk County's 140,000 home residential solid waste and recycling collection contract, one of the largest single collection contracts in the State.
