Gradual Improvement in Recycling Prices

Recycling prices which had plummeted last year in the wake of economic turmoil are slowly beginning to improve. According to Resource Recycling Magazine, modest increases in both foreign and domestic mill demand along with low inventories are driving increased prices for ferrous metals as well as recovered paper. The value of some forms of recyclable resin is higher as a result of rising feedstock costs for primary plastics producers.
