Veolia Solid Waste Names New CFO

Veolia ES Solid Waste, the solid waste division of Veolia Environmental Services (VESNA) has appointed Ray Bruckert Vice President and CFO effective April 1. He also serves as treasurer of VESNA, where he coordinates tax functions for the parent company. "Ray Bruckert has been a great asset and resource to our company for many years," said Richard Burke, president and CEO of Veolia ES Solid Waste, in a press release. "He has steered the company through countless acquisitions, demonstrating an innate competency in and knowledge of detailed financial issues. His leadership skills will serve him well in this new role." Bruckert joined the company in 1996. Over the next four years, he assisted in business acquisitions, initially as a financial and tax consultant, and ultimately as market developer. In October 2000, he was promoted from director of market development of Superior Services to vice president and treasurer of Onyx North America both predecessor companies of Veolia. Prior to joining Veolia, he was with Ernst and Young for 10 years. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Platteville with a bachelor's of science degree in accounting and finance.
