EnergySolutions Signs Second 5-Year Contract With Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA)

EnergySolutions, Inc. (NYSE: ES) announced today it has signed a second waste management agreement with the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA). This five-year $30 million contract provides liquid radioactive waste management services to the Sequoyah, Watts Bar and Browns Ferry nuclear power plants. This agreement is separate from a recently signed agreement for overall processing and offsite disposal services for TVA.

The agreement just signed is for on-site processing of TVA's liquid radioactive waste, as well as cask rental and transportation, spent fuel pool cleanout services, and other associated services.
