Veolia Environmental Services Makes Executive Appointments

Veolia Environmental Services North America Corp. (VESNA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Richard Burke to President and CEO, Veolia ES Solid Waste, Inc. and Jeff Adix to Senior Vice President, VESNA. Both appointments are effective January 1, 2008.

Burke was initially appointed President and COO of Veolia ES Solid Waste in January 2007. Over the past year, Burke has proven his leadership skills and abilities to grow the business. "Richard is a respected leader, one that will ensure our future growth, revenue and profit objectives," stated Michel Gourvennec, president and CEO of VESNA. During his tenure with Veolia, Burke also served as the Regional Vice President for the Eastern and Southern markets. He joined the company in 1999 as Area Manager.

Adix has served as CFO of Veolia ES Solid Waste for the past two years and as Vice President of Support Services for VESNA for the past year. Under his leadership, a company-wide, shared service center was implemented to streamline organizational functions including purchasing, IT, payroll and accounts payable. In his role as Senior Vice President, Adix will report directly to Gourvennec. As CFO of Veolia ES Solid Waste, he will continue to report to Richard Burke. Adix joined the company in 2000 as vice president of finance.
