BFI Canada Income Fund Announces $80.9 Million Offering of Trust Units
BFI Canada Income Fund (the "Fund") (TSX: BFC.UN) today announced it has entered into an agreement to sell 3,100,000 Units at a price of $26.10 per Unit to raise gross proceeds of $80.9 million (the "Offering") on a bought deal basis. The underwriting syndicate is led by CIBC World Markets Inc. The Fund has also granted to the underwriters an option to purchase up to an additional 465,000 Units, exercisable until 30 days following closing of the Offering to cover over-allotments, if any, on the same terms and conditions as the Offering. The Offering is expected to close on or about April 5, 2007, subject to certain conditions including regulatory approvals. Purchasers of Units under the Offering will be entitled to receive the distribution expected to be paid on May 15, 2007 to unitholders of record on April 30, 2007.
The Fund intends to use the net proceeds of the Offering to repay revolving credit facility advances and for general corporate purposes.
