Waste Industries USA, Inc.'s CEO Jim Perry Named as NSWMA Chairman

Waste Industries USA, Inc. (Nasdaq: WWIN), a regional, non-hazardous solid waste services company, announced that its President and CEO, Jim W. Perry, was named as Chairman of the Board of Governors of the National Solid Wastes Management Association ("NSWMA") for the 2007 term year. Mr. Perry has served on the Board of NSWMA for many years and since 2002 has also served on the Board of Trustees of the Environmental Industry Associations, NSWMA's parent organization.

NSWMA is a trade association representing for-profit companies in North America that provide solid, hazardous and medical waste collection, recycling and disposal services to companies and companies that provide professional and consulting services to the waste services industry. NSWMA promotes the management of waste in a manner that is environmentally responsible, efficient, profitable and ethical, while benefiting the public and protecting employees.
