Waste Industries USA, Inc. (Nasdaq: WWIN), a regional, non-hazardous solid waste services company, announced that it has acquired a hauling company in Georgia, and a small residential collection operation in South Carolina. The two transactions are projected to generate approximately $4.5 million in annualized hauling revenues.

The acquisition of Jimmy Tibbitts Enterprises, LLC, in Dallas, Georgia continues the execution of the Company's west-Atlanta market strategy, adding roll-off revenues and a transfer station operation while creating the anticipated added benefit of internalizing significant new tons into the Company's two existing Atlanta area landfills.

The residential customers purchased from Double Springs Sanitation, Inc. in Greenville County, South Carolina are along existing Company collection routes and should improve route density and productivity.

Jim Perry, CEO, stated, "These two acquisitions reflect our continued desire to strengthen our routes in desired markets and where possible to internalize greater volumes of waste collected into our landfills."

Waste Industries USA, Inc. is a vertically integrated solid waste services company that provides collection, transfer, disposal and recycling services to commercial, industrial and residential customer locations in the states of North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Georgia, Tennessee and Mississippi.
