2,400 pages of transcripts of testimony released Friday in the San Jose garbage scandal case contributes little insight into whether San Jose Mayor Ron Gonzales actually committed the crimes alleged in the seven count indictment. Much of the testimony seems to support the defense's version of events surrounding the recognizing of the Teamsters union at a recycling plant subcontracted by Norcal Waste Systems instead of the lower wage rate Longshoremen's union.
