Veolia Environmental Services (VES), the waste services division of Veolia Environnement, the leader worldwide in environmental services, is pleased to announce that Onyx North America Corp. and its four business units have officially changed their names to operate under the Veolia Environmental Services worldwide brand. These name changes are part of Veolia Environnement's global rebranding strategy and became official in North America on July 1, 2006.
Veolia Environmental Services North America Corp. will operate in the same manner as Onyx North America Corp., however, its four independent and complementary business units will now be unified under the Veolia brand as follows:
Onyx Waste Services, Inc. is now Veolia ES Solid Waste, Inc.
* Onyx Environmental Services, L.L.C. is now Veolia ES Technical Solutions, L.L.C.
* Onyx Industrial Services, Inc. is now Veolia ES Industrial Services, Inc.
* Onyx Montenay Power Corp. is now Veolia ES Waste-to-Energy, Inc.
Overall, the new global brand system brings together Veolia Environnement's four divisions -- water, waste, energy and transportation services -- under the single name of Veolia. Relating the impact that the new brand will have on its customers, Michel Gourvennec, CEO of Veolia Environmental Services North America, explained, "by eliminating multiple brands and operating under the Veolia brand in North America, our clients will have easier access to the extensive resources of the global leader in environmental services, with the technical expertise and unparalleled service they have come to expect in us."
