Ken Price, chairman and chief executive officer of Heritage Environmental Services, LLC (HES), announced today that Bill McDaniel has been appointed to succeed him as the company's president and chief operating officer, effective May 11, 2006.

"We are pleased to have a leader with Bill's vision and business experience assume this important role at Heritage," Price said.

McDaniel has served since 2003 on the Business Leadership Team (BLT) of the privately held company. The BLT was formed as a central element of the leadership succession plan for HES.

Price continued, "Under Bill's steady hand, I am certain Heritage will continue to provide the timely and cost-effective services that our customers expect and deserve."

McDaniel is a veteran of 15 years with HES. He came to the company by way of the Heritage Group's 1991 acquisition of a highway-construction firm. At that time, McDaniel was serving as the firm's chief financial officer.

In his first role with HES, McDaniel led the effort to build the company's National Program Services group, which serves clients with multiple small-generator locations throughout the country. Today, the group generates several million dollars of revenue annually through programs uniquely designed to serve each of its customers. The common features of each design include central program management and regularly scheduled routes to cover the nation.

"Bill's ability to develop effective procedures, mesh multiple operations, and hire, train and lead the right people led directly to the success of this group," Price explained.

In 1996, McDaniel added Heritage Transport (HT) to his list of responsibilities. Under his guidance, HT increased its profitability while improving compliance for drivers and the fleet for four successive years.

McDaniel was selected in 2000 to take a new business concept and grow it into a viable entity. In just five years, Heritage Interactive Services (HIS) has grown rapidly into a profitable total by-product management company serving more than 1,000 customer plants in North America, including Canada and Mexico. Revenues will exceed $40 million in the recently completed fiscal year. McDaniel spearheaded the effort to secure outside investors needed to convert HIS into a Minority Business Enterprise, led by Chairman Albert Chen and President Eric Tate.

"Going forward, the company will operate under the name Allegiant Global Services and the recently awarded certification of MBE status should result in an opportunity for even more rapid growth," Price said.

Prior to his post at the highway-construction firm that Heritage acquired, McDaniel served in positions of increasing responsibility with the information technology, human resources and marketing departments at Indiana Bell Telephone.

McDaniel earned his master's of business administration from Butler University, and bachelor's degrees in mathematics and industrial management from Purdue University.
