MHF Logistical Solutions Inc. (MHF-LS), a leading provider of packaging, transportation and technical services for generators and shippers of radioactive, hazardous and non- hazardous waste and materials, said today that Michael D. Bornak has been appointed chief financial officer.
Bornak is responsible for all aspects of the company's financial management, as well as its human resources and information technology activities.
Bornak previously was chief financial officer of Portec Rail Products, Inc., a railroad products and material handling company active in the U.S., Canadian and United Kingdom markets. Among other responsibilities at Portec Rail, Bornak had a lead role in managing acquisitions along with their related financings and prepared the company for its initial public stock offering as well as its Sarbanes-Oxley implementation efforts.
Prior to joining Portec Rail, Bornak served as corporate controller for Precise Technology, Inc., a custom injection molder in the plastics industry, and as a financial manager for the National Steel Corporation. He holds an Executive Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Pittsburgh's Joseph M. Katz School of Business Administration and an undergraduate degree from Clarion University of Pennsylvania. Bornak is also a certified public accountant.
