Frenzied Buying Has Spurred 40% Increase in Valuations for Solid Waste Companies

Market valuations for many privately owned solid waste companies have risen more than 40% in recent years, spurred by eager buyers among private equity firms and cash-rich hedge funds, an investment banker who specializes in the field told an industry conference here today.

Dell Says It Plans to Triple Product Recovery Volume by 2009

Dell announced it plans to triple the amount of product recovered from customers by the end of 2009 and released its annual sustainability report outlining current progress and future goals for the company's corporate responsibility efforts.
