The Rechargeable Battery Recycling Corporation has announced the recipients of its fifth annual "Community Recycling Leadership Awards," recognizing RBRC's community program participants for efforts in rechargeable battery and cell phone recycling through the RBRC's Call2Recycle program. The national winner was the City of Phoenix; regional winners included Lexington County (SC); Missouri state recycling program, the University of Minnesota Department of Environmental Health and Safety; the National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped; the city of Hamilton, Canada; and the regional municipality of Halton, Canada.
