Dell, EPA Will Collect Electronics Ruined By Katrina

Dell Inc. and the federal EPA are joining forces to recover and recycle electronics products destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. The company and the EPA held a collection event last week in Kenner, La. allowing residents to drop off any form of electronic equipment free of charge. The partnership also includes the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality, the National Recycling Coalition, Jefferson Parish, and the town of Kenner. Dell will handle the computers and peripherals, while the EPA will take the other electronic equipment.
