Allied Waste Industries has announced the appointment of James A. Quella to its Board of Directors. Quella is a Senior Managing Director and Senior Operating Partner at The Blackstone Group L.P., and replaces Howard A. Lipson, Senior Managing Director of Blackstone, who stepped down from the board earlier this summer.
