In the latest of its upper management moves, Allied Waste has named former Aramark executive John J. Zillmer its new chairman and chief executive. Zillmer succeeds Charles H. Cotros, who was brought in as chairman and CEO in October after Allied split those responsibilities from the presidency, then held by Tom Van Weelden. Van Weelden later resigned and was replaced by chief operating officer Donald W. Slager. In naming Zillmer, Allied said the appointment of Cotros was an interim move.
