Perma-Fix Environmental Services, Inc. (NASDAQ: PESI) has won a multi-year contract from Space Gateway Support LLC at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida to manage, transport, recycle, and dispose of all hazardous waste generated at the Kennedy Space Center, Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, and other government facilities. Waste Connections Releases Fourth Quarter, 2004 Earnings

Waste Connections, Inc. (NYSE: WCN) has announced fourth quarter 2004 earnings of $0.30 per share from continuing operations, down from $0.39 in the year-ago period. 2004's results included approximately $5.7 million of pre-tax expenses on refinancing costs, sales of corporate equipment and other charges. Revenues for the quarter were $163.7 million, an 11.9 percent increase over 2003. For the year, revenue was $629.4 million, up 15 percent from $547 million in 2003. Allied Waste Rolls Out Plans for New Credit, Debt Retirement

Allied Waste has unveiled a program to raise $600 million in total, including issuing $100 million in common stock. Another $500 million in convertible preferred stock will be issued as well. The company will also acquire a $3.45 billion credit facility, which will include a loan and letter of credit. The proceeds will be used to repay outstanding amounts of its current credit facility and approximately $990 million in notes. N-Viro International Corp. Pennsylvania Announces $20 Million in Recycling Grants

The Pennsylvania Environmental Protection Secretary has announced 162 grants totaling $20 million to help finance municipal recycling programs. The programs will provide access to recycling for an estimated 10 million Pennsylvania residents. Awards include $435,000 to Middletown Borough to develop a composting facility on the site of a former Superfund site at the former Olmsted Air Force Base.
