Pennsylvania Republicans Roll Out New Environmental Proposal

Pennsylvania House Republicans have unveiled an environmental preservation proposal designed as an alternative to Democratic Gov. Ed Rendell's environmental plan that involves additional taxes and tipping fees. The Republicans' "Green PA" plan would designate more than $2 billion for environmental programs such as open space preservation, watershed protection, hazardous site cleanup, and brownfields reclamation.
