Bush Nominates EPA's Leavitt To HHS Post

President Bush has nominated Environmental Protection Agency head Michael Leavitt to the position of secretary of Health and Human Services, replacing the outgoing Tommy Thompson. Leavitt, a former governor of Utah, served as administrator of the EPA for about a year. One of the early candidates for Leavitt's vacated post is James Connaughton, the chairman of the White House Council on Environmental Quality.
