Perma-Fix Wins Hanford Cleanup Contract

Perma-Fix Environmental Services, Inc. (Nasdaq: PESI) has won a multi-year contract for approximately $23 million to treat mixed low-level wastes generated at the Department of Energy's Hanford Site in Washington State, the largest environmental cleanup project in the world. Fluor Hanford, a prime contractor at Hanford, has awarded this contract to Perma-Fix to provide specialized thermal treatment for a variety of mixed low-level radioactive wastes generated at Hanford.
