Arcadis (NASDAQ: ARCAF) has won a fixed price remediation task order for $43.5 million at Reese Air Force Base in Lubbock, Texas. The task order will effect the closure of all environmental investigations, remedial operations, permits, compliance plans, and all other activities. In November 1995, the Air Force announced that Reese Air Force Base would be permanently shuttered by September 1997 after serving for 50 years as a training facility for pilots. Arcadis will use in situ remediation technologies to clean soils and groundwater to appropriate standards.
