Waste Management Inc. has reported a growth in second-quarter net income to $216 million, or 37 cents per share, from $176 million, or 30 cents, in the same quarter last year. The company's revenue was $3.14 billion from $2.9 billion last year, on improved volumes in its landfill, collection, transfer, and recycling operations. The company projects full-year revenue to be in the range of $12.2 to $12.3 billion.
