R.W. Beck Begins NYC Waste Characterization Study

R. W. Beck, Inc. will assist New York City with a multi-year project to study the city's solid waste composition in an attempt to make more effective preparations for future waste management needs. The city is working to design a solid waste plan to cover the diverse waste streams of its 8 million residents and associated businesses. The project will begin this month and conclude in 2007, and will also study whether additional materials can be added to the city's existing recycling operations.
