SCS Engineers Prepares 80 Landfills' Air Quality SSM Plans

SCS Engineers of Long Beach, Calif. has prepared approximately 80 start-up, shutdown, and malfunction (SSM) plans for various landfills throughout the United States, in compliance with new maximum achievable control technology (MACT) air quality requirements. Landfills that fall under the MACT rule must develop and implement a SSM plan. Each SSM project plan cost from from $4,000 to $7,000.
