Workers at Allied Waste/BFI in Atlanta have voted to form a union with Teamsters Local 728, beginning the union's national organizing campaign in the sanitation industry. The union is working to organize Allied Waste/BFI and Waste Management workers throughout the country. The International Brotherhood of Teamsters represents more than 1.4 million workers in the United States and Canada.
