Waste Management has announced its fourth quarter 2003 results, earning $226 million, or 39 cents per share. The company's revenue rose 5.7 percent to $2.97 billion. Net income in the fourth quarter was $183 million, or 31 cents a share, including the negative effect of an accounting change that amounted to $43 million. The company expects 2004 earnings to fall within the range of analyst forecasts of $1.36 to $1.52 per share, and projects revenue of $11.9 to $12 billion.
