The Rechargeable Battery Recycling Corporation has announced that the rechargeable battery recycling industry had a banner year, collecting more than 4 million pounds of rechargeable batteries in the U.S. and Canada in 2003, an increase of 22 percent from 2002. Since 1995, RBRC has recycled a total of over 21.9 million pounds of rechargeable batteries.
