Waste Connections, Inc. (NYSE: WCN) has announced first quarter earnings of $.49 per share on a diluted basis on 32.7 million shares. Revenue for the first quarter of 2003 was $128.5 million, a 21.5% increase over revenue of $105.7 million in the first quarter of 2002. Diluted earnings per share were $.49, an increase of 14.0% over diluted earnings per share of $.43 in the first quarter of 2002.
