The Montenay Bay incinerator in Bay County, Fla. has been awarded certification as an OSHA VPP STAR site. The facility is the first OSHA VPP STAR Site in Bay County and one of only 26 sites in the state of Florida. OSHA's Voluntary Protection Program awards companies that have achieved excellence in the area of employee health and safety. The certification of Montenay Bay is the fourth such achievement for Montenay Power Corporation, a subsidiary of Onyx, which operates ten waste-to-energy facilities in the United States and Canada.
