Capital Environmental Resource Inc. (Nasdaq: CERI) has reported third quarter 2002 results. Net income was $1.5 million for the three months ending September 30, 2002. Earnings per share were $0.12 for the quarter. Revenue for the quarter was $28.0 million, compared to $22.7 million for the three months ended September 30, 2001. Acquisitions, particularly the Ottawa Landfill purchased with the Waste Services Inc. acquisition, contributed to revenue growth of 21 percent, or $4.8 million.
