Waste Industries USA, Inc., formerly known as Waste Holdings, Inc., a regional, non-hazardous solid waste services company, has reported financial results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2002. Revenues were down 1.4 percent, and adjusted operating income was down 11.5 percent for the quarter. The company reported revenues of $63.6 million compared to $64.5 million last year, and adjusted operating income decreased 11.5% to $6.9 million compared to $7.8 million for the same period last year.
