Casella Waste Systems Inc. has dismissed Arthur Andersen LLP and hired KPMG LLP as its auditor for the year ended April 30. According to a Form 8-K filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission, there were no disagreements between the company and its former auditor. Andersen billed the company $499,750 in audit fees and $353,150 in all other fees for fiscal 2001, according to the company's proxy statement from last August. Casella Waste provides solid-waste services in rural areas of the northeastern United States. More information: www.casella.com.
