Waste Connections, Inc. (Nasdaq: WCNX) has announced first quarter diluted earnings per share of $0.43 on 32.0 million diluted shares. Revenue for the first quarter of 2002 increased 24% to $105.7 million, from $85.1 million in the first quarter of 2001. Operating income for the quarter increased 25% to $29.1 million, or 27.6% of revenues, from $23.2 million for the first quarter of 2001. More information: www.wasteconnections.com.
